Green ball at 12 years old? No way!

Got a call from a dad who asked me if I think it’s okay that his son is still playing green ball at 12 years old because his coaches say he is undersized and the green ball “will be safer for his arm.”
This is the type of ROG malpractice that’s going on all over this country.
To keep a kid on green ball at 12 or older is a disaster. I’ve seen many kids held back in ROG land way too long, and they often have strokes with no power.
They can’t crack an egg with their swing.
It must have something to do with hitting a low compression ball for so many years…
These kids are going to struggle to make up lost time. They will struggle to catch up to yellow ball peers in time for high school and college tennis.
It’s a shame.
