Why Children Need A Lot Of Repetition In Practice

The Lewitology:

“In general, young kids need a lot more rallying and repetition. Why?

Because they are still wiring their strokes motorically. They are still developing automation.

They also need to develop their aerobic and muscular endurance. Laws of physiological processes and physical training come into play.

The laws of physiology, biomechanics, and motor learning dictate more rallying and repetition. For little kids, those laws trump any big data. That’s my point.

I’m amazed that coaches will forget these principles of junior development when faced with the latest statistics.”
