The Future of Technical Training

At the 2019 US Open, the USTA and IBM are introducing Coach Advisor, a new technology solution that puts AI and analytics in the hands of USTA coaches to help drive a new level of insight into tennis player performance.

The Future of Technical Training

In the future of athletic technical training, tennis players (and all athletes) will be evaluated by computer analysis that leverages an AI guided database of errors and corrections.

A mobile device could serve as the link to the AI interface.

It will be like having a world-class technical coach with you in the palm of your hand.

Coaches will still be needed to guide the player through stages of correction, but the role of the coach will change as technology improves.
