
Also, I’m tired of the semantic games played about “leg drive” versus “jumping.”
It’s such a silly differentiation to make. I hear it at conferences all the time. Crazy.
A leg drive is a jump. A jump is a leg drive.
I tell little kids to jump because it’s a simple term that they understand.
I don’t tell them to “leg drive and use their ground reaction forces.”
It’s such a trivial difference in wording and in the end serves as a red herring to distract from the main discussion.
“Jump” is the best most simple word to use in REAL coaching in the trenches.
Theoreticians can debate the parlance.
