Toni Nadal says, “First long, then in” and warns that teaching soft, controlled movements too much in the younger years can make it very difficult to develop power later on.
Toni says it’s important to develop good power and acceleration along with technical movements, when a player is young. That’s what he did with Rafa.
Reminds me of how many ROG kids have no power moving into yellow ball, because they have been hitting softly in a small court for so long that they never develop power.
