ROG methods will help prevent injuries in junior U10 players

Truth

While a soft ball and lower bounce would intuitively seem to help prevent injuries in kids, there is no definitive scientific study that proves fewer incidence of injury in children playing ROG versus yellow ball.

In fact, some coaches worry that during the transition phase from ROG to yellow balls, players may be at a higher risk of injury—although we also do not have objective evidence to prove that either.
