Here’s what my daughter’s wrestling coach said to me:
I understand the parents policy. I’ve seen a lot of crazy parents that don’t understand it and not as supportive as you two. They come into the room, scream to Jonny during live and try to give their youth instruction. It’s very distracting and puts unnecessary pressure on the kids.
Then there are folks like you guys that make it a family feel and positive and it’s totally different. So I understand the schools stance and yours.
Parents need to be allowed to watch practices somehow.
There is a need to balance team and player welfare and cohesion and parents’ rights.
