“A player should be well-behaved for two reasons:  Firstly, so that he or she does not waste a lot of training time with tantrums and drama on the court.

And secondly so that the people around him or her, such as coaches and trainers, feel inclined to help the player.  Few coaches will want to genuinely help a player who has a bad attitude and behaves poorly on the court.”

Toni Nadal is the legendary Spanish coach who guided his nephew Rafa to the top of the world.  He coaches at the Rafa Nadal Tennis Academy in Mallorca.

Chris Lewit is a student of the Spanish game and has studied for the last 12 years in Spain with different legendary coaches.  He is the author of The Secrets of Spanish Tennis.
